Leopard Nails, Rawr! ;)

One of my favorite patterns of all time is a great leopard print. Ever since I was little I've been drawn to it, whether it's a cute pair of leopard print flats, a scarf, a cardigan, or in this case, on the nails! ;)

This is my first time wearing a leopard print on my nails, and I can assure you it most definitely won't be my last! I'm already concocting many variations of this! :D Every time I decide to do some stamping on my nails, I keep getting better so you guys will definitely see some more of that. :)

For this mani I used 2 coats of  OPI Suzi Loves Cowboys as my base color and stamped the leopard print design on top of that using China Glaze Passion and one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat.

All I can say is, RAAAAWR! ;)

I'm pretty much in love with this look on my nails! I can't get enough of it! I really think that the color combo I used is perfect for this in-between weather where I live. It's officially fall but the weather is still in the process of changing. It's been really humid and rainy but the temperature hasn't gotten out of the 70s. Actually, I really hate the stage the weather is in now. It's gross and my hair hates humidity, but on the flip side I've got this mani to keep my smiling. :) I can't wait to do a more vampy variation of this when the weather really cools down. :D

That's all for now. Thanks for stopping buy and reading! <3

Tonyette's Nails :)

This weekend I did my friend Tonyette's nails. She has cute little hands and nails. :)  I painted her nails with Zoya Jem and then did some very subtle stamping over that with N.Y.C. In a New York Minute Lincoln Center, which is a deep burgundy polish. Actually, the stamping is so subtle that you might have to stare at her nails for a minute to actually see it haha. It's a pebble like design. It would have looked more prominent if I had stamped with Jem over Lincoln Center, but that'll be another mani. ;)

I always think it's harder to paint someone else's nails than to paint you own haha. I'm really happy with the way her mani came out and Zoya Jem is just gorgeous. I can't wait to wear it myself. :)

Also, You guys should go check out Tonyette's blog: speakyourlifesoullove.wordpress.com. She blogs about fashion, nifty do it yourself projects, music, life, etc. She's amazing so go visit her! :)

That's all for today guys. Thanks for stopping by and reading! <3

Sinful Colors - Daddy's Girl

I'm so glad that tomorrow is the end of my school week and then it's time for the weekend! I just took my third test this morning and I'm glad I have a bit of a break before I have any more tests to take. :)

Despite all the studying and paper writing I've been doing this week, I've had an epic polish on my nails to keep me company. :) This week I've been wearing Sinful Colors Daddy's  Girl which is a rich purple jelly with glass flecks of various colors. Since the weather has been cooling off I wanted to wear a darker color on my nails, without it being too dark, and this color was perfect! I don't own many purples, but this has become my favorite purple in my stash. It's so pretty and I know I'll be wearing this a lot. I'll probably have to buy a back up bottle haha.

The formula on this was okay. It was a tad bit goopy and runny at the same time, so this polish took a little bit more patience to apply, but not so much that I started to get frustrated. I wasn't surprised at all because it is a jelly. I applied to coats and one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat and it actually looks more opaque in real life than what my pictures reveal haha. Also, it's been cloudy here so I wasn't able to photograph this in sunlight like I wanted to. The overcast sky actually made this look more blue than it really is. So then I decided to include some picture of this polish that I took under a lamp to give you guys an idea of how purple this polish really is. :)

I love jelly polishes! This is definitely another drool worthy polish! :)

Haul! :D

Hello! :)

This is going to be a quick post tonight. I have a Spanish paper that's due tomorrow and I need to get it typed up. It's already written, but I wrote the first draft by hand.

This past Saturday my roommates and I were out running some errands and I stopped by Ulta and Bed Bath & Beyond to pick up some new polishes and today two more polishes came in the mail for me that I ordered. :) Can you believe that this is the first time I have bought any polish in a month!?

From left to right:
Zoya Jem, Zoya Cynthia, Zoya Veruschka, Color Club Revvvolution (aaaah! SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS ONE!), Color Club With Abandon, and Sinful Colors Daddy's Girl.

I'm really excited about all of these and these are all going to be epic to wear during the cooler months. The past few days here have been feeling like Autumn, and I'm happy to be back in light sweaters and scarves. :)

That's all for today and thanks for stopping by and reading. I've gotta go finish that paper!

China Glaze - Ahoy!

Hello ladies! (and perhaps some guys?) haha. I feel like I haven't updated in forever! School has gotten pretty hectic and I've already had two exams since this past Thursday and I have another exam in exactly a week and a paper. Yaay school -_-.

Anyway, This week I've been sporting China Glaze Ahoy! on my tips. I first showed you guys this polish in a comparison I did with Strawberry Fields, but this is the first time I've worn this as an actual manicure.  I have to say, I really, really like Ahoy!. It's a gorgeous raspberry jelly with gold glass flecks. The formula is amazing: smooth, not to thick, nicely pigmented, and I got it opaque in just two coats, which usually doesn't happen with jelly polishes. It's been nice and sunny this week and I've really been able to enjoy this polish in all it's glory. When the sunlight hits my nails, they glow! Absolutely stunning! I can see this polish becoming a favorite. There's something sophisticated about this polish, which is probably another reason why I love it so much.

Pictures were taken in sunlight with two coats of Ahoy and one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri top coat. Also, I used my roommates' window to take these pictures because their room has such good natural light. Thanks Annalise and Michelle! :)

I think this polish is drool worthy.....

That's all for today! Thanks for stopping by and reading, and have a great rest of your week! <3

Game Day Nails! :)

Hello! I hope you all had a great weekend!  I know I did! This past Saturday was my school's first football game of the season against William & Mary and we beat them 40-3! :) What an epic way to start off the new season!

And of course I had to do a mani for the first game. My mani wasn't football themed; I just used my school's colors (orange and blue). For the base color I used two coats of China Glaze Life Preserver and I stamped and argyle design on top of that with China Glaze First Mate. Life Preserver has an amazing formula, not too thick, not to thin, smooth, and highly pigmented. First Mate is perfect for stamping because it is also highly pigmented. This mani also allowed for me to practice some more with stamping. I still need practice, but I don't think this came out poorly. I got a lot of compliments on this mani. :)

Ugh, I need another lamp! This light makes everything look cooler than in real life. But anyway! haha I really like this mani! I'll definitely be doing more full nail stamping. :)

Well that's all for now. Thanks for stopping by and reading! <3

Essie - Merino Cool

Whew! My academic week is finally over! Yay for not having classes on Fridays. :)

I don't know about you guys, but I needed a break from all the China Glaze. For a few days this week I wore Essie-Merino Cool. This is the first time I've actually worn this polish as a mani and I've grown to really really like it. When I first experimented with Merino Cool here, I said that I thought that I was going to have to add in a few drops of polish thinner to prevent it from gooping at the edge of my nail. I take that statement back haha. I had  absolutely no issues with application this time around. I'm thinking that this as to do with the change in climate. It's not as humid and sticky here at school as it is at home. Also, the first time I applied it I didn't use a base coat because I wasn't keeping it on. I found that this time around, the use of a base coat helped my to control this polish better and have a smoother application. I didn't even have to do clean-up! :)

I used three coats of this polish with one coat of a top coat. Once again my light at school made this polish look more washed out than it really is. Merino cool has a lot more purple in it in real life, and looks warmer than my pictures portray. I've gotta figure out something to so about this lighting situation!

I love this color, and colors like this! Murky, dusty, kinda strange. Man, I really wish Autumn would hurry up and get here! I'm missing all of my scarves, and boots!

That's all for now and thanks for stopping by! :) Tomorrow is the first football game of the season, so I'll be taking Merino Cool off today and I'll be re-painting my nails tomorrow for the game. :)
