Okay, I've got the new Blogger layout for the dash and it's weirding me out. Not in a bad way, I just haven't gotten used to it yet.
I feel as if I've been missing in action for a while. I've got two more days of class left for the semester and three finals this week, so unfortunately I haven't been able to comment of other people's blogs as much as I would like. However after this week I'll have significantly more time to do so and I'll also have more time to paint my nails more often as I'd like to and that means more blog posts!
Let's get on to the nails! Today I've got for you all China Glaze Peachy Keen. I've had this polish on my wish list for a year now and I only just purchased it about a month ago. I think this is actually one of the first China Glaze polishes that I've ever wanted.
I've heard a lot of people say that this color was strange on them and that it's a bit finicky when it comes to which skin tones it looks good with. Luckily, this polish looks really nice on me. I have more yellow undertones, so this polish doesn't give me lobster claws. (However in the photos, my hands look more red because I turn pink when in sunlight. I can hear my Mom now, "It's that Native American blood!").
I thought that the formula of this polish was okay. I have some balding issues and it was a little thick, but still manageable. I used two thicker coats to get even, opaque coverage. For top coat I used 1 coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Top Coat.
That's all for today and thanks for stopping by and reading!

oh you're native american? that's so cool! have you tried adding a little thinner to it? my china glaze for audrey was reallyyyyy thick when i got it, but it's fixed now with some thinner =]
ReplyDeletethis color looks really fantastic on you! i haven't decided how much i like it on myself... but the consistency and finish of the polish is just <333!
Partially Native on my Mom's side :). I didn't put any thinner in it this time, but the next time I use it, I definitely will! I totally agree with you with For Audrey, it is a rather thick polish and I need thinner in it too! :)
DeleteAnd thank you! :) I was a little apprehensive because it's a bit of a strange peach. And I agree it does have a nice consistency and finish. :)
It does look very nice on you! I have no peach polish. Which quite a problem, now that I think of it. I'll have to remedy the situation immediately!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :) This is actually my only peach polish. I actually think Essie Haute as Hello is close to Peachy Keen, but it is a neon and leans more coral. And I agree, you def need to solve this haha :)
Deletepeachy keen is the name of my usual smoothie lol and the colour is totally right! i love the peachy tone!
ReplyDeleteMmmm Peachy Keen is the perfect name for a smoothie! :) I love peach, as a color and smoothie! :)
DeleteLovely shade and it does look great on you! Good luck with finals, I only have two more days and then I'm done! Hope you're done soon too!
ReplyDeleteThank you! You're so lucky to be done in two days! I'm officially done on the 11th, which isn't too bad, about a week. Good luck with wrapping everything up! :)
DeleteVery flattering on you!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThis polish is very tone sensitive. I feel like it looks orange on me! It looks beautiful on you though!
ReplyDeleteIt is quite tone sensitive and I notice that it's one of those polishes that can look completely different depending on what I'm wearing or the lighting. The other day someone said, "Nice salmon nails!" haha. And thank you! :)
